2008

It has been a great year. A lot of things happened this year! I experienced loads of fun and loads of sadness. Let us put all the bad things in the past and remember the good and positive things that happened to me this year. The dates aren’t stated and instead I just classify the events in months.

The year started great, January. That time was a great time- both nerve-wrecking and exciting. What am I talking about? Obviously, the GCE O level results. I scored B3 for my English, Malay, Combined Science (P,C), Pure Geography and Additional Mathematics. I scored an A2 for Elementary Mathematics and well, an E8 for combined humanities (Hist, SS). Altogether, I scored 14 points for my L1R4.

February to March: the rotting months. Everyday’s the same routine. If I am not at home, I would either be out with my friends or working. I received my JAE results in March. Successfully got into my first choice of courses, that is Audio Visual Technology in Ngee Ann Polytechnic. March 14^th, I went out with Flizzo K, 1E, Wizle and Sparxx to watch Step Up 2. AND! I got my Sony Ericsson W910i and till now im using the same phone!

April is the month I’ve been waiting for. Mum bought me my MacBook. And well, went for Electrical Engineering Freshmen Orientation Camp. Had fun! Then, 14^th April 2008! It began! The first day of Polytechnic began. I met loads of new friends. My social circle in class started off with Serene, Larissa, Hannah, Limin and Syarif and some from the other class. Soon, it was almost the whole class. I learnt new skills too. Tennis! Creativity Skills! (All achieved by the end of August). The best part of April was that Tara was born. My baby cousin! April too was the month I acted for Al-Amin mosque during the Maulidur Rasul. It was on the 6^th April to be exact. I acted as a gangster! Haha! Then, went out with Harith, Is, Umi, Ust. Puteri, Ust. Norida and Ezzati.

Time travels so fast and it reached the month of May. Well, celebrated my mum’s birthday and mother’s day. I was preparing for common test in June.

June, Common test week was the first week of June. I did well. At the same time, it was Liyana’s birthday too, her wonderful 10^th birthday. AV Recruits Camp! Back at secondary school! Great! Love it! Had Fun! Went out during Hariz’s birthday too! Had a 3 weeks break from school. Went Johor to shop shop shop! Night Cycling 2008! It was a Masjid Ar-rabitah event. I had loads of fun. We cycled from Redhill to Labrador to Pasir Panjang back to Redhill from 10.30pm to the next day at 7am.

July, School reopen after the break. I received my results for my common test! It was satisfying. Basically, this was the time my emo mode came about. Forgot how it started. But WHO CARES? What’s done is done.

The month, August! Singapore’s birthday! But sadly, I went overseas on that day. I went back to my relative’s kampong at Muar/Batu Pahat with parents and cousins. Ate great food and had a great experience. After that, we celebrated Grandma’s birthday few days after we arrived back in Singapore. And this is the month where I started becoming Love sick! I don’t give a damn. I ignored it. Now, love is nothing to me. Mid-August, it was examination week. After that, 25^th August, AVT BBQ! Ate a lot! At night, I remembered, Qing Hui, Soon Heng, Eric and Me was stuck in Bedok interchange because we missed our last bus and train and it was like 1am. I was actually in a rush to get home and edit videos for the next day Cakap Pasal Remaja Event (Nurabitah) at Masjid Ar-rabitah. So, I took a taxi back home and back to the mosque. At 4am! Then, I stayed up till the event. My duty was the AV stuff and Video Editor. I went for my toenail surgery at the end of August! Remove my toenail.

September! You know what time it is! My 17^th Birthday! The first time my birthday is on Ramadhan Month and that is Fasting month. Collected my testimonial too! I went out with Hariz to watch a late night movie with Hariz, that is Death Race. The next day, went to hospital to take out stitches for my toe! Recovered! I received my examination results too! It was good!

The following month, October, 1^st October first, it was Hari Raya Puasa! We went loads and loads of places including lunch at Sakura! October 11, I went out with Bloodline, Wizle, Lemon 8 and bloodline’s little brother to visit each and other houses for Hari Raya. School re-opened in mid-October. Emo life activated all the way till November.

The following month is November. Nurabitah sent Uzta Nuzhan to the Airport because he was going to Egypt to continue his studies. We really miss him. We tonned at the mosque till the next day. November the 18! S-league dinner was on this day. Me, Heiqel, Azlian, Putri and Liyana went. Me, Heiqel and Azlian took a photo with Therdsak Chaiman! End of November, was hell! I found out rumors about me going around? It has been settled. (Get out of my mind! Shoo!) I’ve forgotten about it!

Then, the last month of 2008! This month, started off with Liyana and Putri’s Dance recital on the 7^th. Then, Hari Raya Haji on 8^th December. While everyone in my family was celebrating and eating tidbits at my grandparents’ house, I was with Nurabitah at the mosque doing duty for the Korban (Sacrifice). I collected the unwanted organs and threw them away. Then, it was common test week. I can’t wait for my results. Then, break! Last day of common test, it was class gathering and Lynette and Syarif’s birthday celebration at Seoul Garden and then, watched Quarantine. Then, I went Malacca with family. Shopped and ate a lot! I ate delicious food there. Then, few days before Christmas, AV leaders went out to have fun! Well, after that, 24^th-26^th December, Chalet at Costa Sands to celebrate Azlian’s birthday and Christmas. Actually, it was more of Azlian’s birthday. 27^th December (it is not in my blog), I went out with my Mum, Sis and Putri to celebrate Putri’s birthday which was on the 28^th at Pizza Hut. We went to Vivo after that to get Liyana’s bag. 28^th December (it is not in my blog), I went out with Si Hao to do 10 of the wooden pegs for AV Crew advertising.
